Habitat: Woodlands
Range: Eastern half of the United States including Texas.
Notes: The dewberry is a fruit producing bramble. The fruit is edible. The dewberry flowers in spring and produces a green fruit that turns to deep purple as it ripens. The fruit is a favorite of birds.
