Habitat: Well drained sandy loam, clay, and limestone based soils.
Range:North East and Central Texas
Notes: Tree that grows between 15-35 ft tall. Flowers in spring with showy white, fragrant blooms. Attracts lots of butterflies. The fruit ripens in summer and is edible. The fruit is a favorite with birds.
